David Goodwin

(4th December 1942 - 25th February 2022)

In Loving memory of David who passed away on the 25th of February 2022 aged 79 years.

He was much loved and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

“We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our dear dad, David Goodwin, on 25th February 2022.

His career was spent entirely as a solicitor in London and he became the senior partner in the law firm, Druces and Attlee.

He was highly respected by colleagues and clients, alike.

David loved cricket throughout his life, playing for Abingdon school, Berkshire schoolboys and Woking and Horsell.

In later years he developed a passion for golf, joining Sutton Green Golf Club. He made lasting friendships through both sports and could often be found at the cricket club at Sunday lunchtime, enjoying liquid refreshment and banter.

He was a master bridge player too, he couldn’t resist a bit of good competition.
David also volunteered in several capacities

David has three sons, Paul, Keith and Nicholas and six grandchildren, so far.
He is survived also by his loving wife, Celia.
