The funeral service that caters for everyone’s needs

Richard David Moores

(27th March 1968 - 23rd March 2021)

Richard grew up by the sea in West Kirby on the Wirral with his Mum Lois and two sisters, Samantha and Amanda, and which is where his love of water and the sea started. He was active in the local sailing club teaching wind-surfing and sailing, and when he could, volunteering with the local RNLI station.

Richard worked abroad for several years where he would set up water-sports centres within hotels, before migrating down to New Malden in Surrey.

He met Joanne in 1991 and they were together for 7 years before marrying in 1999. Joanne and Richard lived in Southampton for 10 years before returning to New Malden and then Claygate. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Sophia in 2008, who was totally adored by her father.

Richard loved a good building project, both domestic and commercial, but more recently concentrated on supporting and encouraging Sophia in her golf. Many a weekend has been lost to a good walk around 18 holes.

His sudden and unexpected death at the age of 52 has left a huge hole in the entire family, and we would invite you to make a donation to the RNLI in Richard’s memory.

Always and Forever

Joanne, Sophia, Samantha, Amanda, Lois and all the family.

Dear Cindy,

I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday and please thank all the gentlemen who helped us. Everything ran very smoothly and they were excellent.

I was also very happy with the service booklet and photographs.

“We just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you did for us. You certainly made a very emotional and difficult time so much easier to bear. We are so grateful for the support you gave us and your gentle guidance along the way. Everything was perfect thanks to you and we would highly recommend you to all. With very best wishes.”

Family of Stanley Stearman

“Dear John,

Thank you for the wonderful service, support and help you offered me and the way you looked after my partner Bob, after he passed away.

From the professionalism and courtesy your team showed on that most traumatic moment – taking Bob from our house – to your kindness, and surefooted advice, the recommendation of the Celebrant, and then your kindness in coming to the cremation as well.

It’s been the hardest month or so of my life and yet I was so pleased with how the service went, the wonderful order of service you arranged and helped me with and of course the music as well. Throughout it all you treated me with respect, dignity and gave me such helpful advice. I’m not sure I would have managed well without that. Even more, I can now look back and reflect that the day went well and represented my partner and our love so well.

I think it’s important to thank people when they have done such a great job.”

Douglas

“Thank you so much for the way you took care of Loui’s funeral for us. You really went the extra mile, we are really grateful for all your help with the arrangements with Louis and Mum.”

Sheila, Kenny & Family

“Thank you for all your kind attention during the funeral of my husband John on the 24th May. The arrangements were so efficiently and sympathetically handled that it lifted a huge burden from my shoulders. I enclose a cheque in favour of the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of my beloved John.”

Catherine Waterman

“Dear Jo,

Thanks so much for all you did leading up to the funeral. None of us could have got through it without your support.

Many thanks for everything you did for us, for all your help and for making a very sad day so easy. Your support has been amazing.

A huge thank you. Your dedication made saying farewell to Mum all the more bearable.”

Sue, Vicki, Clare & Richard

“Dear Donna,

Just a little something to say thank you very much for all of your kind support during a very difficult time.

You really went above and beyond to help us and it was truly appreciated.

Thank you for helping us organise such a personal and fitting service for Margaret and everything else that you did for us.”

Bill, Sandra, Vicki and Family

“Thank you for the care and support you gave to us all at the funeral of Annette Streetley, we did appreciate you kindness as we first stepped through the door at your Claygate branch and the days following. I know Tony, Rachel & Andrew were extremely grateful”
