Robert Alan Christie

(7th August 1941 - 26th July 2024)

In loving memory of Bob Christie who passed away just a week before his 83rd birthday.

He loved his wife, his martial arts, his photography, his cats, his family and his friends. He was a character with a strong sense of humour, often reflected in pithy Christmas cards and funny images from experiments with camera filters and film speeds. In latter years he was fascinated by the spirit world and firmly believed that he would join his wife and parents when he died.

He was “Uncle Rob” to Andrew, Carol, David, Lisa, Julia, Steve and Jeff.

The family want to thank the Princess Alice Hospice for all their support and Galsworthy House staff for their loving care in his final months.

As we know from the past, you do a wonderful job and all the staff are so caring and compassionate. Carol you are a rock (dare I say Star!) as you guided us through so much and helped keep us on track.

The day went off so smoothly and well. Mum looked good and would have so enjoyed her last ride in the jag! Also she would have been pleased at Alan leading the way, as Dad – Bill thought so highly of him and always spoke of him in glowing terms when he was alive and said he was a great guy to work with.
