Finding the right memorial stone to adorn the grave of a loved one can cause strain and distress for some people. At Alan Greenwood & Sons, we strive to make funeral planning as smooth and stress-free as possible, and to aid with the process we offer a wide range of stone memorials for you to choose from. These differ in:

  • Colour
  • Shape
  • Style and colour of lettering
  • Wording
  • Type of material, granite or marble
  • Application of a design or photo plaque

A full brochure and price list is available, and we are happy to make suggestions and offer advice if it is needed. If you have an existing memorial, we can arrange additional inscriptions and cleaning.

Memorial stones for a cemetery

Remember that when choosing a memorial stone you will be restricted by the rules of the cemetery authorities. These often relate to the size, material, and type of headstone, so it is important to discuss any stipulations with them before buying a memorial.

Cemetery stones quotes

In addition to displaying the name and lifetime of the deceased, many people choose to include a quote or short message on the headstone. These could be anything from a phrase the person was known for saying, to a biblical quote or line from a poem.
